Moody Center for the Arts’ 50,000 Square-Foot Building Includes 150-seat Black Box Theater

HOUSTON, TX -Moody Center for the Arts on the campus of Rice University was built with a 150-seat black box theater featuring LED and digital lighting fixtures from High End Systems, Elation, and ETC, controlled by a Road Hog 4 lighting console in conjunction with ETC Net3 and Paradigm systems.

NEW YORK - During the recent 143rd AES New York 2017 convention at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, D.B. (Don) Keele, Jr. of DBK Associates and Labs and Hugh Sarvis, managing director of the Loudspeaker division at PreSonus Audio Electronics, presented a white paper that explored the design and implementation of a two-way, constant-directivity wedge loudspeaker system. Keele presented the paper at the convention.

NORMAN, OK - Severe winds from a tornado-producing storm caused structural damage during a Beach Boys performance at the Riverwind Casino in Norman, OK on Oct. 22, cutting the show short. No one was injured in the incident, but the casino complex, which includes the 1,500-seat venue, sustained significant damage, allowing rainwater to rush inside.
