Cambridge Folk Festival Stages Supported by Soundcraft Vi6, Realtime Rack

CAMBRIDGE, UK – One of the longest running folk festivals in the world, the Cambridge Folk Festival recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, drawing an audience of approximately 10,000 people. Taking advantage of this historical occasion, SSE Hire provided HARMAN Soundcraft Vi6 digital consoles for the main and second stage, while also using the Soundcraft Realtime Rack on the second stage.

TACLOBAN, The Philippines — With the death toll rising past 5,235 in the weeks after super-typhoon Haiyan hit hard here Nov. 9, the storm ranks as the deadliest disaster to ever hit the island nation. Along with widespread death, an estimated 4 million people were rendered homeless — close to the total left homeless by the Indian Ocean tsunami of 2004 and the earthquake in Haiti in 2009 combined.

LA ROCHE-SUR-YON, France — Fuzz’Yon, a 300-capacity live music venue that has been operating here since 1986. Starting out as a haven for rock bands, since 1998 Fuzz’Yon has diversified into dance genres, such as rap, trip-hop, electro and dub, as well as pop, soul and folk. General manager Mathieu Rouet recently replaced the venue’s 10-year-old console with a Soundcraft Vi6 digital console for FOH and a Vi4 for stage monitoring.

KingsGate Community Church Gains Momentum with DiGiCo

CAMBRIDGESHIRE, England – In September 2006, Peterborough Community Church opened a brand new, 80,000-ft. building in the Cambridgeshire city it is named after. With a technical specification that would be the envy of many large theatres and live music venues, the inclusion of DiGiCo D5 and D1 consoles demonstrated that the church was committed to the future. Twenty months later, the building has a new name – KingsGate Community Church – and its technical team has had many months of using the DiGiCo consoles.
