ANAHEIM, CA - Waves Audio and Aphex presented the Waves Aphex Vintage Aural Exciter, a new plug-in based on one of two prototype tube-powered units developed by Aphex during the mid-1970s. The Waves Aphex Vintage Aural Exciter modeled plug-in promises to combine character of the original hardware unit with the advantages of software.
The original Aural Exciter traveled from studio to studio as an exclusive (and expensive) rental unit, bringing its distinctive sound to select sessions by recording artists including Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt and James Taylor.
