LOS ANGELES — The 6,000-plus capacity Gibson Amphitheatre, which opened as an outdoor venue within Universal City in 1972 before being enclosed in 1982, is set to close as its lease expires in September. Universal Studios is undergoing a major remodeling and will use the site for a Harry Potter-themed ride, according to reports.

REGINA, SK, Canada — Solotech supported the 2013 Juno Awards at Brandt Centre here, which included a weekend of events culminating in a televised ceremony hosted by Michael Bublé that was broadcast live via Canada’s CTV. The sound system for the 7,000-plus-capacity venue centered on a total of 112 MICA line array elements from Meyer Sound.

NEW ORLEANS — A $23 million renovation at Joe W. Brown Memorial Park, which sat under seven feet of water after Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005, included new sound systems for the new football field and track/soccer field overseen by Technical Services Group (TSG).
