PWS Provides Wireless Assist with Merlin Entertainments' Orlando Eye

The Orlando Eye OpeningORLANDO — An April 29 press event promoting the May 4 opening of the 400-foot-high Orlando Eye observation wheel featured daredevil Nik Wallenda walking across the rim of the turning wheel with no strings, cables or lifelines attached. Merlin Entertainment, which operates the wheel, worked with Glickman Productions audio designer Travis Hill and LMG-supplied audio gear for the event, with Professional Wireless Systems (PWS) also providing a wireless assist.

Billboard Latin Music Awards Gets RF Assist from Radio Active Designs UV-1G Base Stations, Belt Packs

James Stoffo, RF coordinator and Sisse Jonassen, wireless intercom systems technician, with a rack of Radio Active Designs UV-1G base stations and belt packsMIAMI - Telemundo tapped PWS (wireless audio), Acoutech (PA) and East Shore Sound (communications) to handle audio and communications for the Billboard Latin Music Awards. Telemundo also specified UV-1G wireless intercom systems from Radio Active Designs to free up more RF channels for the event, where 140 channels of wireless were used for the main show and another 60 were in use between the red carpet and other media areas. Update: CADAC Not at InfoComm15

LUTON, U.K. - CADAC, which recently announced plans for an American debut of its new CDC six digital live sound production console at InfoComm15, has since noted that it will not be exhibiting. "This decision in no way affects the imminent introduction of the company's new CDC six digital production console to the US and Canadian markets," the company noted on May 19. "Further information concerning the launch of the CDC six in these territories will be forthcoming."
